reDiscover Center Artist Leaders While the Fox Foundation does not accept unsolicited funding proposals , we are interested in learning about nonprofits working within our focus areas: Economic Mobility, Educational Equity, Social Justice Advocacy, and Health & Wellness Support.
We would especially like to hear about small and mid-sized Black and Latinx-led organizations providing direct services to underinvested in communities in the Greater Los Angeles area. If your organization fits into the Fox Foundation giving landscape, please visit our application portal and complete an Organization Profile. Profile submissions are reviewed quarterly.
You will receive an email notification if your organization is invited to submit a full application. The Fox Foundation provides single and multi-year program, general operating, and capital grants to nonprofit organizations working within our primary focus areas. Once invited, first-time applicants are eligible to apply for one-year renewable program-support grants up to $25,000, with the average award being $15,000.
Current grantees may be invited to apply for larger, multi-year renewable project-support, capital, or unrestricted general operating grants, which will vary depending on the organization’s needs, structure, geographic reach, and budget size. Projected to launch in Fall 2024, the Fox Foundation will invite a cohort of trailblazing nonprofit leaders to participate in our Change Accelerator program.
This three-year program is designed to help small (under $5M operating budget) nonprofits already demonstrating significant social impact to innovate and scale. Change Accelerator participants will collaborate with each other and professional advisors to develop their inherent strengths as nonprofit executives, boost the financial capacity of their organizations through an earned revenue stream, and broaden their resource networks.
Please check back for details on the Fox Foundation Change Accelerator participation benefits and expectations, and information on how to apply. Profile submissions and applications will be reviewed in order of submission date in February and August.
Organizations selected to submit an application or that are awarded funding will receive an email notification outlining the next steps or grant terms approximately two weeks after the submission deadline. 2025 Submission Deadlines Submit on or before February 28, 2025 Submit on or before August 31, 2025 The Fox Foundation may request a virtual or in-person site visit or additional materials.
While we aim to notify all organizations submitting profiles of their status, our capacity may be limited depending on the number of submissions. Organizations who do not receive notification 60 days post-submission are welcome to reach out to Kristen Paglia to request feedback.
In alignment with our core values, the Fox Foundation strives to maximize the positive impact of our funding and other support resources on our nonprofit partners and their service communities. We also recognize many nonprofit organizations have limited capacity to conduct formal evaluation and do not want to place additional or undue administrative burden on Grantees.
The Fox Foundation will develop a customized reporting plan in collaboration with each Grantee that best meets their needs and advances the funding objectives outlined in the grant proposal. Complete an organization profile Fox Foundation Application Portal

Improving Veteran Mental Health Grant Program is a grant from The Cigna Group Foundation that funds nonprofits providing housing stability and wraparound support services to improve the mental health of military veterans. The Foundation committed $9 million over three years addressing housing instability and its mental health impacts, as an estimated 40,000 veterans go without shelter nightly and 1.5 million are at risk of homelessness. Funded programs include mortgage and rental assistance, employment re-entry training, and housing development for veterans. Eligible nonprofits must leverage evidence-informed programs and align with at least one goal: increasing permanent housing, improving housing affordability, or enhancing wraparound services for veterans transitioning from shelters.
