PinkAid Pink Purse Grant Program is sponsored by PinkAid. This program provides emergency funds for breast cancer patients in active treatment in the USA who need help with utility bills, phone bills, cable bills, transportation to/from treatment, car payments, and more.

Pink Aid is the only national organization providing compassionate support and rapid emergency financial assistance within 48 hours to breast cancer patients in treatment.

The Emergency Financial Assistance Program was created in direct response to the dire, country-wide epidemic of significant unmet needs among patients who were not only struggling with their breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, but with its significant financial ramifications.

** Applications submitted for our Compassion Plus Award undergo a more detailed and comprehensive review process than applications submitted for our Financial Emergency Assistance Program. Due to limited resources, not all applications can be approved for funding. We appreciate your patience and ask that you allow approximately 30 days for a decision regarding your application.

** SOCIAL WORKERS MUST SUBMIT ALL APPLICATIONS. Our Pink Purse is regularly open Monday – Thursday 9am-5pm EST and Friday 9am-12pm EST (except holidays). Please do not submit applications after business hours as our system will not recognize and/or accept the application and therefore will not be reviewed.

Beginning on July 6, 2026 we are upgrading our systems and introducing a new online application portal. All applications will need to be submitted through our website. The new online portal will be open on the morning of July 6th and we are excited to share it with you.

Our application submission hours will remain the same. Monday - Thursday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM We are hopeful this change will make the process smoother for you and allow us to review and respond to applications more efficiently. Guidelines For Applying For Emergency Financial Assistance The Pink Purse mission is to provide emergency assistance to underserved breast cancer patients in financial crisis while undergoing active treatment for a breast cancer diagnosis.

This emergency fund provides assistance for critical non-medical essential household expenses. Active treatment for the purposes of the Pink Purse is defined as the period after a positive breast cancer diagnosis has been made and during which therapies are being administered, including surgical procedures to remove the cancer (ie. single or bi-lateral mastectomy, lumpectomy), chemotherapy or radiation.

Active treatment does not include long-term hormonal therapies such as Tamoxifen or an Aromatase Inhibitor.

Pink Purse Funds considers the following but not limited to as Critical Non-Medical Household Expenses : Utilities (i.e. electricity, heat, gas and hot water) Transportation to and from hospital visits and treatment centers to include Uber gift cards, car loan payments and car insurance premiums * Please note Pink Purse does not pay directly to individuals but to the service provider All applications must include the required documentation listed on this application in order to be eligible for funding.

Incomplete applications will not be considered for review. Patient's household income should be 500% or less of the FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL based on last year's federal tax return. Required Documentation for Application A completed application signed by a Hospital Social Worker, Nurse Navigator, Certified Patient Navigator or 501c3 Administrator.

A signed letter, dated within 60 days of the application , from a doctor on hospital letterhead confirming breast cancer diagnosis/active treatment, including date of latest treatment. A signed letter, dated within 60 days of the application , from a Hospital Social Worker or Nurse Navigator on hospital letterhead verifying the patient qualifies for financial assistance.

All bills must be current and within 30 days of the month requesting funds for and in the patient’s name (or spouse) and patient’s place of residency and must be over $300 . Bills should include the account number, the current balance due and the complete address to which payments are sent. A screenshot of an account balance is not an acceptable form of documentation and we require the full statement or bill.

Please note: Qualified patients may receive up to $500 once during a twelve month period. At this time, applications can only be accepted in English. For Social Workers Only: Determine Financial Need For all social workers, you may use these documents to determine financial need.

(There is no need to send these documents to Pink Aid.)

Examples of acceptable documentation for confirmation of annual income: • Most Recent Federal Income Tax Return • Most recent W-2 or 1099 • Social Security Award Letter • Workers Compensation Award Letter • Letter from sponsor/family financially supporting patient • Verification of extenuating circumstances that account for sudden loss of income All applicants residing outside of the state of CT and Long Island, NY, household income should be at the Federal Poverty Level based on last year’s federal tax return.

A patient will be deemed to have financial need based on the Federal Poverty Levels (“FPG”). Guidelines For Applying For Emergency Financial Assistance A qualified "Compassion Plus Award" patient can only receive this grant once. This award is for rent and mortgage assistance for the most dire breast cancer patients who are undergoing active treatment and are in financial crisis.

All applications must include the required documentation listed on this application in order to be eligible for funding. Incomplete applications will not be considered for review. A patient's household income should be 300% or less of the FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL based on last year's federal tax return.

Required Documentation for Application A completed application signed by a Hospital Social Worker, Nurse Navigator, Certified Patient Navigator or 501c3 Administrator. A signed letter, dated within 60 days of the application, from a doctor on hospital letterhead confirming breast cancer diagnosis/active treatment.

A current mortgage statement or a current executed lease by both parties or a notarized PROOF OF RESIDENCY FORM is required to review this request and to be eligible for funding.

If there is an additional name on the bill, please explain the relationship to the patient.

Social Worker Statement - Explaining why you are proposing this patient from among all the others in your caseload.
