Franklin Home for the Aged DBA Peabody Home, was built for the working class people of Franklin, NH. Over the years our focus has been on providing the best long term care, not a "market rate" but at what those services actually cost us to provide. This translates into our nursing and assisted living rates are, on average, $50.00/day less than all other homes in New Hampshire. We are actually subsidizing our Nursing care Residents by $18,250/year. This decreases the demand on the Medicaid system. Resident's money lasts longer and postpones the need for them to go onto Medicaid, which is funded by the Federal Government and the State of NH. This approach to the annual budget has been agreed to by the Board of Managers every year. Capital expenses such as carpet replacement, elevator rebuilds and other equipment expenses are paid for either by fund raising efforts or the use of our portfolio.
