ILLUSTRATIVE MATHEMATICSIllustrative Mathematics is an organization that has created a problem-based core curriculum to address math content and practice standards to foster learning for all. Students learn by doing math, solving problems in real-world contests and constructing arguments using precise language. Teachers can shift their instruction and facilitate student learning with high-leverage routines to guide learners to understand and make connections between concepts and procedures. The Mathematics Institute has been trained and certified to work with school districts implenting the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum.

WORKSHOPSThe foundation conducted 5 days of in-person workshops and 17 days of virtual workshops to increase educator knowledge in a variety of K-12 education and math content areas. 196 people attended the workshops.

DISTRICT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTThe foundation provided professional development services to 25 districts to support educator success in the K-12 classroom. Services covered a variety of topics including math content, instructional strategies and classroom coaching. Approximately 2,044 people participated in these professional development services.
