advancement of the general public. We educated the public on the health benefits and cultivation of Hawaiian tropical fruits and vegetables by conducting 9 4-hour educational tours of a small sustainable farm where
local tropical fruits and vegetables are grown. A total of 50 people attended. We educated 3 small-scale farmers on the subject of Hawaiian tropical fruits and vegetables, including what and where to plant,
when to harvest, which fertilizers to use, and which plant diseases to be wary of. And we conducted 2 demonstrations of vegetarian cooking for produce managers and chefs.
