The dates below outline when organizations need to submit materials for each grant cycle. Please, note schools and universities can only apply in the Capital Cycle. All organizations applying for the Capital Grants Cycle must submit a letter of intent (LOI) via the grant portal by 11:45 p.m. on April 30. All organizations approved to apply for the Capital Grants Cycle must submit their applications via the grant portal by 11:45 p.m. on For the Operations Grant Cycle, all organizations that have never received operations funding from the Foundation must submit a letter of intent (LOI) via the grant portal by 11:45 p.m. on November 30. The Foundation will make grants only to those organizations that are described in IRC Section 501(c)(3) and are public charities defined in IRC Sec. 509(a)(1), 509(a)(2) or 509(a)(3). In rare cases the Foundation will make grants to private operating foundations as defined in IRC Sec. 4942 (j) (3). The Foundation does not make grants to individuals or fund endowments.
