Grant Application, Review + Approval Process What can I expect during the application process? Here are the steps you can expect during the application process: Step 1 : Once you start your application(s), you can follow the instructions on the Application Dashboard.
Once you submit your application(s), the status will show “Application Received” . Step 2 : Your application(s) will be reviewed to ensure all preliminary requirements are met: • If additional information is needed, the status will be updated to “In Process” and an email will be sent to the Grant Administrator who submitted the application with further instructions.
• If the application information is complete, the status will be updated to reflect “Preliminary Step 3 : Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and decisions will be made after the application closes. Step 4 : Final Decisions will be made within 60 days of the application close date , and the Grant Administrator will be notified by email of the decision. If approved, the system has already captured your application answers and the performance indicators related to how your organization may use the resources to drive impact. When you submitted your application, you agreed that you were authorized by your agency to approve the terms and conditions of the grant, including the final grant award, if approved.

” What happens after I’m approved? Our goal is to process all applications and mail checks within 12 weeks of the submittal of your grant application. Once the grant has been reviewed and approved by our team, we will complete due diligence on the organization to verify current charitable status and mailing address to which CGF will mail a physical check along with an award letter.

If your organization has a grant administrator in the future that needs to be removed from your GranteeView account, submit a request . If I am a grant writer (or if my organization uses a grant writer), can they use the GranteeView Portal?
Yes. Anyone that has been given authority to apply for a grant and agrees to the terms and conditions for an organization may register as a Grant Administrator and apply. If a grant writer wishes to submit applications on behalf of multiple organizations, GranteeView allows the grant writer to request access to each organization.
They can then submit applications on behalf of specific organizations using their “single” Login ID for the GranteeView. Continuing an Application / Viewing Application History How do I access an application I’ve already started while I’m working on it, or after I submit it? Log into the GranteeView portal and click on the Application Status & History section on the menu bar on the left.
You should see a list of applications, and you can access the desired application by selecting the App ID link. If the application is not visible, try expanding the search duration to include earlier dates. Important: Please do not start a new application for a grant opportunity without first searching this section to ensure no partially completed applications already exist.
If an application has already been started, please continue progress within existing applications to prevent content loss or duplicate submissions . I have applied for grants in the past with Colorado Gives Foundation. Is my information from prior grants stored in GranteeView? GranteeView is a new experience for Colorado Gives Foundation and does not hold any previous grant information.
However, going forward all applications, reporting and grantee payment history will be stored for easy access, and rest assured the Foundation still has access to your historical information if required. Grant Agreement + Award Letter How do I know the terms of the grant? The final page of your grant application is the full terms and conditions of your grant. You cannot submit your grant application for review without accepting these terms and conditions.
You can access the terms and conditions at any time by accessing your in process/submitted application (see the Continuing an Application / Viewing Application History section above for more information on accessing application history) Where is my award letter? If your grant is approved, your award letter will be mailed as a physical document on the same page as your grant check. Where can I find my award letter or check?
Award letters and checks are physically mailed to grantees as a single document. Please ensure your organization’s mailing address is correct in your application submittal, and up to date on GuideStar Charity Check or the Colorado Secretary of State website or you may experience a delay in receiving the award.
Fiscally sponsored organizations should make note of their fiscal sponsorship status in the grant application itself, and checks will be mailed to the sponsoring organization. When are interim and final impact reports due? The grant term is included in the grant application.
As a general guideline, interim reports are due once per year for grant terms longer than 12 months, and the final report is due 30 days after the end of the grant term. What does the interim/final report entail? Questions in our grant reports are intended for CGF to better understand how grantees made an impact in Jeffco with support from the Foundation.
Our reports will ask follow-up questions from the impact metrics you provided in your initial application. The report will be in the form of an online survey (with a link that is unique to your grant/organization), and will ask for what you anticipated to accomplish and what you’ve been able to accomplish to date. The grantwriter listed in the application will receive an email 30 days before the grant report is due with a link to your customized report.
