Grant Application Process | ACTA Foundation The ACTA Foundation funds the creation, development and production of catechetical projects which foster and support adult faith development in the Roman Catholic tradition. Through its grants the ACTA Foundation supports innovative catechetical initiatives for adults that will have a broad impact on the life of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Foundation is ordinarily able to accept grant proposals within the $5,000 - $50,000 range. Next Deadline: Spring Deadline: May 8, 2026 Fall Deadline: November 13, 2026, Grants are limited to U.S. Catholic organizations for projects taking place within the United States. Proposals must be submitted online via our online Grant Application process.
Proposals may be submitted at any time. Proposals will be reviewed by the ACTA Board at its bi-annual meetings ( Fall and Spring). Proposals sent to the ACTA Found ation for review should not be submitted to other funding agencies while under consideration by ACTA.
The Foundation only funds projects focused on adult catechesis that demonstrate creativity and have the potential for meaningful impact on the wider life of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. Projects for youth and children will not be considered. Applications must include a detailed, itemized budget clearly showing what part of the project is being requested for support.
The ACTA Foundation does not fund operational expenses, including salaries. The ACTA Foun dation requires a copy of any produced material that was funded (or partially funded) by ACTA.
In addition to the application, applicants must be prepared to submit: (1) a project narrative or description, (2) an itemized project budget, (3) the organization’s overall budget, and (4) any relevant supporting materials An evaluation and financial report of the project is required upon the publication or completion of the project. Only one grant per organization will be considered or funded at a time.
