C. Code Ann. Reg.
43-258. 1 (2017). Teachers who successfully complete an AP Teacher Institute will be awarded special AP endorsement in the specific AP content area.
Any of South Carolina’s public or private institutions of higher education (IHEs) and any school district (or a consortium of districts) working in collaboration with a state public or private IHE are eligible to apply.
For a school district to be eligible, the district must have a fully executed letter of agreement or memorandum of understanding (MOU) with an IHE to offer the institute and must include a copy of the agreement as an attachment to their application. To be eligible, the IHE, district(s), or consortium must obtain College Board endorsement for the proposed institute(s) prior to submitting an application.
The South Carolina Department of Education anticipates awarding approximately ten grants. Award amounts will be determined based on the quality of applications received and total funding requested. February 24, 2025, through June 30, 2025 Technical Assistance Session The Office of Assessment and Standards presented a pre-application technical assistance session on January 23, 2025.
