Affordable Housing Trust Fund | Fort Myers, FL - City Government Affordable Housing Trust Fund Affordable Housing Trust Fund Thank you for your interest in the City of Fort Myers Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) Rental Assistance program. The AHTF program provides affordable housing opportunities to individuals and families with incomes 120% or less of the area median income (AMI).
The program supports households paying more than 30% of their income to housing. The property must be located in the City of Fort Myers city limits. The tenant will receive a monthly rental subsidy up to $600.
If awarded assistance, payments will be made directly to the owner/landlord. The subsidy is for a 1-year period. It may be renewed annually up to 2 years for a maximum of 3 years.
The tenant must recertify each year. The award of rental assistance is subject to funding availability. Please note that completing an application does not guarantee eligibility for rental assistance.
