The long-term public-private programme AiNed propels the Netherlands into the leading group of AI countries and makes a major contribution to the country’s international competitive position. A growing number of companies and public institutions are starting to develop and deploy modern AI technology. The largest possible economic growth and recovery is 1.
6% GDP (as estimated by the McKinsey Global Institute, 2020). The programme will allow the Netherlands to maintain strategic control of the way in which AI is deployed and the conditions imposed on such use.
Thanks to the AiNed programme, the Netherlands will have a strong AI ecosystem by 2027, which will be capable of the rapid innovation of AI solutions in the following areas: The level of AI knowledge at all levels in education, business and society has improved greatly. Solutions are available for developing reliable, human-centric AI systems.
Sharing data between companies and the government for AI solutions has been greatly simplified. The number of SMEs developing or adopting AI has doubled. And Dutch companies have developed AI products, processes and services that have an international impact and increase the Netherlands’ standing as an excellent country for AI.
