After Hurricane Michael destroyed the Florida panhandle, the AFAF charities responded quickly and expanded our services to provide emergency financial grants, collect food and supplies along with monetary donations. Through this single effort, we provided over $6. 7 million in total support to thousands of Department of the Air Force active duty , retirees, guard and reservist in or near the hardest-hit areas of the Florida panhandle.
