Leading Nonprofits Join Albertsons Companies Foundation in a First-of-Its-Kind Initiative to Tackle Summer Hunger Among Children in the U.S. - Nourishing Neighbors To help tackle the issue of childhood hunger, Albertsons Companies Foundation has convened leading national hunger nonprofits to build a campaign driving awareness of Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) – a new USDA program providing $120 per child to eligible families with school-aged children during the summer months to use to purchase food.
Here is our website: https://summerebt. org/ . The goal is to give families a simple, fast way to check if they may be eligible for Summer EBT benefits and subsequently connect them to their state sign-up application or info site.
For families that live in states that are not participating, the site directs them to other food resources, and helps them find their elected representatives if they would like to make their voice heard and encourage their state to participate in the future. These families work, but have difficulty making a living wage. We collectively grow food together (volunteers and hispanic families) and share it twice a month. We have all non-paid volunteers running the organization and we are often functioning on a shoestring budget.
We have received some local grants, but the grant cycles are ending. Our families are wonderful, but have been somewhat exiled by the current state of affairs in the US. We need support!

Please Hello I am a disable mother with a disabled teenager who runs out of food quite often and was hoping that I can get some assistance from the program I would be so grateful for anything the program can do for me and my child. Hi, I’m a single mom, I ported my housing voucher to Colorado and the housing authority after six weeks and current of being without housing, I’ve secured housing pending inspection.
The issue here is I am low income but that doesn’t define the fact that I have to pay the full deposit on my own. I gave every single dime I had for the month just to secure housing. Now I have no money for food.
We are still living in and out of our car and don’t have means to cook. Could you please help us with food gift cards? Giving Back Together: Supporting Families Across Arizona Our associates are part of the communities we serve, giving back through local organizations like St.
