Our Grants Program | American Macular Degeneration Foundation The American Macular Degeneration Foundation identifies and supports research initiatives with high potential to transform the lives of those affected by age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Our goals are to accelerate the discovery and development of: new insights into the origins and development of AMD (including diagnostic tools); treatments that can slow, halt or reverse the progress of the disease; preventives and cures (including sight restoration); and new tools to improve the quality-of-life of those who are living with AMD.
We support researchers at all stages of their careers with flexible funds, which allows them to pivot and respond to their findings. In addition to grants solely funded by AMDF, we sometimes partner with mission-aligned organizations for greater impact.

The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students. The grant supports the purchase of robotics equipment and program development aligned with AMSTI guidelines. Applications are submitted online through the AMSTI Robotics Grant portal.
