Missouri veterans may qualify for up to $600 in energy bill support Missouri veterans may qualify for up to $600 in energy bill support $90,000 remains available through Ameren Missouri’s Veterans Fund ahead of Veterans Day ST. LOUIS (Nov. 6, 2025) – Ameren Missouri announced today an additional $25,000 contribution to its Veterans Fund in partnership with the United Way.
Eligible customers, including active-duty military members and veterans, can apply today to receive up to $600 per household when facing challenges paying their energy bills. In total, more than $90,000 is now available through the Veterans Fund. Interested applicants should call the United Way at 2-1-1 or 1-800-427-4626 to apply.
Applicants must provide proof of veteran or active-duty military status and either be past due, have disconnected service or be at risk of disconnection. “Together with Ameren Missouri, we’re committed to providing the support our veterans need to keep their homes warm and their families safe,” said Michelle Tucker , president and CEO of United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Since launching in 2018, the Ameren Missouri Veterans Fund has assisted more than 1,250 veteran and military families, providing more than $425,000 in energy assistance statewide. “When our veterans or military families are facing a financial hardship, we want them to know they are not alone,” said Joe Solari , vice president of customer experience for Ameren.
“This fund is just one way to say thank you and to stand beside our incredible military community. ” Additional energy assistance is available for Ameren Missouri customers who need help paying their energy bills, including: Ameren Energy Relief Grant : Provides a $150 one-time grant to eligible customers with a balance of at least $150.
Dollar More : Eligible households may receive up to $600 per calendar year in assistance. This program is funded by voluntary donations and by enrolling in Dollar More, customers can also choose to donate at least $1 per month to their energy bill for their neighbors. Clean Slate : Available for Ameren natural gas customers who have past-due accounts.
New Start Energy Relief : Past-due bill forgiveness up to $1,000 for neighbors who have experienced being unhoused and are seeking permanent housing or seniors in public housing at risk of eviction due to a disconnection notice. Weatherization Assistance : Provides eligible households with home energy conservation services.
