Grants and sponsorship | Community partners | CareOregon CareOregon community giving For more than two decades, CareOregon Community Giving has worked to improve access to health care and other resources for both CareOregon members and non-members. Since 2020, we’ve invested more than $85 million into Oregon community-based organizations through grants, sponsorships and other giving.
In line with CareOregon's mission to inspire and partner to create quality and equity in individual and community health, the objectives of CareOregon’s community giving program are to: Address priority social needs in the communities where our members live Build CareOregon partnerships with CBOs addressing community health needs Increase collaboration between CBO partners to improve access to care and reduce health disparities The CareOregon Foundation is excited to share a new grant opportunity for 2026!
This opportunity is focused on helping communities thrive by supporting the work of local leaders, organizations, and coalitions. Letters of Inquiry will be accepted from June 8 - June 26. 2026 Community Grant program CareOregon’s community grant program will make a limited number of invitation only, project-based grants to CBO partners in 2026. Grant awards will not exceed $10,000. CareOregon will contact selected recipients.
CareOregon will also award grants in Year 3 of our Youth & Families grant program. Only prior recipients of this funding will be eligible for support in 2026. Thank you for your understanding and for your work making our community healthier and more equitable.

The Homeless Youth Program is a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services that funds services for homeless and at-risk youth across Illinois. Administered through the Office of Community and Positive Youth Development, it supports nonprofit organizations delivering shelter, outreach, and support services to young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Eligible applicants are Illinois-based nonprofits with demonstrated capacity to serve youth. Awards range from $100,000 to $800,000 per year under CSFA number 444-80-0711. This is a FY 2026 funding opportunity with an application deadline of May 21, 2025.
Community Investment Tax Credit Program (CITC) is a grant from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development that provides state tax credit allocations to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, enabling them to attract private donations from individuals and businesses. Donors contributing $500 or more to approved projects receive tax credits equal to 50% of their contribution. The program has leveraged nearly $27 million in charitable contributions to approximately 700 projects statewide. Eligible project areas include education, housing, job training, arts and culture, economic development, and services for at-risk populations. Projects must be located in or serve residents of Maryland's Priority Funding Areas. The application period is typically held annually.
