Business Concierge Service Our Business Concierge Service connects current and prospective business owners with a member of our Economic Development team to serve as a primary touchpoint throughout the experience of opening and operating a business in Carson.
Whether you’re just getting started and need a broad overview of the process, or you’re an experienced business owner with a specific question, your dedicated Concierge will work behind the scenes with partners across city departments to provide timely, cohesive, and easy-to-understand answers.
Concierge Services Include: Commercial Façade Improvement Program The City of Carson is offering a Commercial Façade Improvement Program designed to help business and property owners enhance their storefronts and attract more visitors. The program provides matching reimbursement grants along with complimentary architectural services and application assistance.
Funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and is only guaranteed once a formal agreement is signed with the City. Tenants and property owners may qualify for grants ranging from $2,500 to $25,000. Any amount above $2,500 requires a dollar-for-dollar match.
For owners of multi-tenant centers, the maximum grant available is $250,000, which requires a minimum investment of $497,500 in eligible exterior improvements and is subject to additional requirements.
New or repaired exterior signs (including neon or halo-lit) Awnings, canopies, or sunshades (installation, repair, or replacement) Painting or exterior surface treatments (stucco, tile, stone, or brick work) Asphalt paving, decorative pavers, sidewalks, or courtyards (not in public right-of-way) Masonry wall or footing repairs/replacements Outdoor lighting (new fixtures or replacement of existing ones) Decorative or security fencing (installation, repair, or replacement) Plate glass window replacements, re-glazing, or mullion changes (with City approval) Outdoor landscaping and fountains Design and permit fees tied to eligible improvements Priority will be given to projects located along Carson Street, Avalon Boulevard, Main Street, Sepulveda Boulevard, and Figueroa Street.
