Electronics - Personal computers/tablets/iPads, headphones, charging cables, computer mice, etc. What will be done with my students The Social Studies Department seeks to achieve the following goals with iPads: Increase student engagement through interactive tools such as digital simulations, virtual museum tours, and geography mapping software.
Improve research and critical thinking skills by providing students with immediate access to primary sources, databases, and scholarly articles. Support differentiated learning with apps and programs tailored to multiple learning styles and abilities. Foster collaboration using platforms such as Google Workspace and interactive group projects.
Enhance assessment methods through real-time feedback, online quizzes, and digital portfolios which will help with comprehension on EOC's and AP exams. Example classroom uses include: Students analyzing historical documents with annotation tools. Exploring interactive timelines of world history.
Participating in mock elections and civic simulations. Creating multimedia presentations, podcasts, or digital projects. Accessing real-time global news for discussions on current events.
Success of the project will be evaluated through both qualitative and quantitative measures: Student engagement surveys to track increased motivation and participation.
