State of Colorado Tuition Waiver Program Members of the Colorado National Guard (Army and Air) are eligible for state tuition waiver (TW) that covers 100% of in-state tuition at Colorado State University.
The state TW may be used alongside other forms of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, and the GI Bill ® . However, if a student receives additional aid that also covers tuition only, the amount of the state TW may be reduced. Students attending Colorado State University who receive the state TW are required to: Apply for in-state residency if you are not a Colorado resident Submit a signed and dated copy of your Award Letter/FERPA Release to Colorado State University by the end of the add/drop date Drop courses only during the official add/drop period Maintain good academic standing Maintain satisfactory progress toward a degree Successfully complete all courses for which you are registered Apply for the Colorado National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program If you are awarded the state TW, the DMVA will send you an “Award Letter/FERPA Release”.
You must sign (only hand-written signatures will be accepted) and date this form. To submit this form to CSU, email to [email protected] or drop it off at the Veteran Education Benefits Office counter in Centennial Hall before the end of the add/drop period. The state TW covers tuition only (base tuition plus differential tuition less the College Opportunity Fund).
If you receive other financial aid, your state TW may may be reduced if that award also covers tuition only. Federal Military Tuition Assistance Program To obtain federal military tuition assistance, you must visit your installation’s Education Services Officer (ESO) before enrolling at CSU.
If you drop or withdraw from a class, some or all of your tuition assistance may be returned to your Branch of Service based on how much of the class has been completed at the time of drop/withdrawal. Percent of Class Completed Percent of TA Returned to Service The CSU withdrawal policy is in alignment with the tuition assistance return schedule above except for the 51% to 60% range, which is required by the DoW.
