Community Development Block Grants - FundHubWA Community Development Block Grants From WA Department of Commerce Funding is to assist eligible Washington State small cities, towns, and counties in carrying out community development projects that principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons.
Eligible General Purpose grant activities include: Public facilities, such as water, wastewater, streets and sidewalks, Community facilities, such as community centers, fire stations, homeless shelters, and childcare facilities, Infrastructure in support of affordable housing and housing rehabilitation, and Economic development such as micro-enterprise assistance.
Community Development Block Grants WA Department of Commerce Buildings & Infrastructure Buildings & Infrastructure, Energy Efficiency, Environmental Justice, Home & Vehicle Upgrades, Land & Water Management, Resilience Education & Outreach, Energy Efficiency Improvements, Equipment Purchase, Financial Help, Program Management Special purpose districts, public housing authorities, community action agencies, economic development councils, other non-profit organizations, and Indian tribes are not eligible to apply directly to the state CDBG Program for funding but may be a sub-recipient and partner with an eligible city, town or county applicant.
