Community Grants | Friends of Hospice Friends of Hospice is proud to support compassionate end-of-life, palliative care and grief-related services throughout our community through our Community Grants Program. These grants are designed to strengthen local nonprofit organizations that share our commitment to dignity, comfort, and support for individuals and families facing serious illness, loss, and bereavement.
Each year, Friends of Hospice awards grants to programs that address unmet needs, provided additional comfort, expand access to care, and provide meaningful resources for those navigating the end-of-life journey or grieving the loss of a loved one. Organizations may request up to $5,000 for projects supporting end-of-life, palliative care, and bereavement initiatives throughout Whitman County .
Applications are reviewed quarterly with the due dates falling on the first of January, April, July and October . *PLEASE NOTE: April deadline has been extended to April 10th** You may apply multiple times throughout the year, but funding is limited to a total of $5,000 per organization per calendar year and any previously requested funds must be closed out .

Our 2025 Grant Award Recipients Willow Center for Grieving Chilren $5,000 funding to support Camp Erin Pullman Community Council on Aging $2,500 towards the Meals on Wheels Program $5,000 funding to instate additional pet/handler teams to serve patients receiving palliative and end-of-life care Pullman Regional Hospital $5,000 funding to support Palliative Patient Care provider training $5,000 to provide personal experiences to those at end of life including birthday parties and bucket list activities $5,000 to support caregiver and grief support groups, augment library materials and Butterfly Release & Celebration of Lives event for the community $5,000 to support healthy meals for participants of adult day services.
