Shaw's Financial Services team volunteers with students at the Junior Achievement Discovery Center in Dalton.
Shaw associates help beautify the grounds of Whitfield-Dalton Day Care, a United Way agency, for Make a Difference Day. Shaw's Enterprise Experiences team plants vegetables at the Salvation Army. Plant 13 associates pack Project Sunshine sensory kits for pediatric patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Each year, associates volunteer across the community during Shaw's Spring Into Service campaign. Here, an associate paints at Boys & Girls Club. These grants help Shaw and our community partners create a better future in the communities in which we live and work.
VIEW Corporate Giving Guidelines Non-profit, community organizations and youth extracurriculars are eligible to apply for financial and product grants. Criteria will include community outreach focus areas of local education (STEM - specifically engineering or manufacturing-focused), workforce development and United Way affiliated agencies in the communities where our associates live and work.
In 2025, the community grants team approved approximately 200 grants of both funding and product. The average financial grant to nonprofit organizations was approximately $1,500. Shaw also supports the children of its associates in their extracurricular activities with financial sponsorships commiserate with the number of Shaw-affiliated children involved.
These sponsorships typically range from $100-$500. Organizations must meet the following criteria: An organization holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) or (19) of the Internal Revenue Code, listed in the IRS Master File that conduct activities in the United States. A recognized government entity: state, county, or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments.
A K-12 public or private school, charter school, community/junior college, state/private college or university. We reserve the right to determine whether any organization is ineligible. The 2026 grant cycle has rolling application deadlines of 2/1/26, 4/1/26, 6/15/26, 8/15/26 and 11/1/26.
Applications may be submitted at any time during the funding cycle. Application Process & Guidelines Complete the 2026 Shaw Community Grant Application . Application may be completed by non-profit or Shaw associate.
The 2026 grant cycle has rolling application deadlines of 2/1/26, 4/1/26, 6/15/26, 8/15/26 and 11/1/26. Applications may be submitted at any time during the funding cycle. The grant committee will review at the end of each granting period and recommend grant recipients based on set grading criteria.
Applications must be completed in full and submitted online to be considered. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding. Organizations will be notified of any decision via e-mail.
All funding decisions are final. If an organization is approved for a financial grant, grant checks will be mailed directly to the recipient organization’s address listed in the grant application. Please allow four weeks for delivery.
If an organization is approved for a product grant, the team will reach out to coordinate the order and pick-up or delivery. Organizations should consolidate their requests and make one submission per calendar year. Exceptions may be considered for unforeseen circumstances such as major storm damage.
