Community Mental Services Block Grant (MHBG) and the Substance Use Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services (SUPTRS BG) Block Grant is sponsored by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) / Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) Division of Behavioral Health (DBH). This block grant is completed annually by the Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) and submitted to SAMHSA. It's a requirement for Missouri to receive its portion of the MHBG and SUPTRS BG funds, which are used to support mental health and substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery services. While primarily for state-level agencies, portions of these funds can be distributed to eligible local organizations through state plans.
