But access to affordable housing is increasingly challenging for families with low to moderate incomes.
Home grants from the U.S. Bank Foundation’s Community Possible program fund efforts to: Connect families and individuals with sustainable housing opportunities Improve climate resiliency in low- and moderate-income communities Submit letter of interest Access to housing that’s safe, affordable and energy efficient We fund programs that help people with low and moderate incomes develop stability in their lives via access to housing.
These programs: Preserve, rehabilitate, renovate or construct affordable housing developments for families, individuals, seniors, veterans and special-needs populations Provide transitional housing as a direct stepping stone to permanent housing Provide eviction prevention programs Create long-term affordable homeownership units through community land trusts Focus on veteran housing and homeownership Provide clean energy retrofit programs Provide access to renewable energy Improve waste management systems to include recycling and composting programs Owning and maintaining a home requires significant financial knowledge, tools and resources.
