Community Sport for All Initiative – Sport Support Program

Community Sport for All Initiative - Sport Support Program is a grant from the Government of Canada that funds community organizations working to remove barriers and increase sport participation rates for underrepresented groups. The program targets Black, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQI+, low-income, persons with a disability, newcomers, and seniors to increase participation and retention in sport.

Funding is directed at applicant organizations that administer and disburse project funding to community-level organizations delivering sport initiatives aligned with the program's objectives. Eligible applicants are Canadian community organizations with the capacity to administer funding disbursement to local sport organizations serving underrepresented populations.

Community Sport for All Initiative – Sport Support Program - Canada. ca Community Sport for All Initiative – Sport Support Program The Community Sport for All Initiative (CSAI), a component of the Sport Support Program, seeks to remove barriers and increase sport participation rates for under-represented groups.

Its key objective is to support community sport initiatives for under-represented groups, in particular, Black, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQI+ , low-income people, persons with a disability, newcomers and seniors to increase participation and retention in sport.

The CSAI funding is directed at applicant organizations to administer and disburse project funding to community organizations to deliver community sport initiatives that contribute to and align with the objectives of the CSAI. Please note: The application intake is now closed.

Funded national-level organizations (2024-2026) The following national-level organizations were approved to receive funding from the Government of Canada as part of the Community Sport for All Initiative. They will disburse funding to community organizations to deliver community sport projects.
