The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse has three funds available to pay for substance abuse treatment services for criminal justice-involved individuals who have no other means to pay. Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment (ADAT) Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment is available to those convicted of DUI and ordered by the court into treatment. Residential and outpatient treatment costs are covered for those unable to pay.
The ADAT program provides Residential Rehabilitation, Halfway House, and Outpatient continuum of care services. Supervised Probation Offender Treatment (SPOT) is available to pay for alcohol and drug treatment services for an individual sentenced to supervised probation who is at risk of violating probation because of substance use.
The SPOT program provides Residential Rehabilitation, Halfway House, and Outpatient continuum of care services. Community Treatment Collaborative is a substance abuse treatment service for Tennessee Department of Correction state probation and parole technical violators.
The program offers the following services: Medically Monitored Detox Qualifications for Participants: Must be 18 years or older on state probation or parole with the Tennessee Department of Corrections; Must have a technical violation based on a substance abuse or dependency diagnosis, or based on a co-occurring substance use and psychiatric diagnosis; Must be designated by a Tennessee Department of Corrections Forensic social worker to have a clinical assessment; the clinical assessment will determine if someone is eligible for treatment.
Must not have the financial means of obtaining the substance abuse treatment services; Must not be enrolled in TennCare or have other third party health benefits payor source; or Must not have depleted their TennCare or other third party alcohol and drug abuse treatment benefits limit; and Meet the one hundred thirty-three percent (133%) federal poverty guidelines as set by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
