These organizations span 18 markets across the globe and include the company’s first participant based in Singapore. The lululemon Community Wellbeing Grant – formerly known as Here to Be – accelerates community-led programs focused on advancing the wellbeing of people and our planet. Grant recipients were selected from over 3,200 global applicants, marking lululemon’s highest number of submissions to date.
The awarded organizations collectively received more than $4 million USD in grants, with the average grant amount being $43,000 USD. This funding will support organizations in positively impacting the lives of over 500,000 individuals globally.
In addition to funding, the Centre for Social Impact provides offerings to further support and strengthen the capacity of these organizations throughout the grant cycle, such as leadership workshops and self-led modules on wellbeing practices.
“We are thrilled to welcome this year’s new cohort of grantees, whose work is already making a powerful impact in communities around the world to create more equitable access to wellbeing,” said Anne Wintroub, Head of Social Impact and Engagement, lululemon.
“We know that different communities face different challenges, and we are excited to support this group of organizations working to unlock resources that meet the specific wellbeing needs of communities all across the globe. ” The impact of these grants is evident in the programs led by the organizations, each addressing the unique needs of their communities.
Nearly a decade ago, lululemon launched Here to Be, an annual grant program supporting local organizations globally that create inclusive access to wellbeing practices.
Four years ago, lululemon expanded its efforts by establishing the Centre for Social Impact, integrating the Here to Be program, and evolving it into an application-based grant – now known as the Community Wellbeing Grant – as part of its commitment to scaling its impact for years to come.
