The Crown Legacy Program: Uplifting Voices, Honoring Heritage, Building Community We fund and create community-driven projects that enrich culture bearers within their cultural ecosystems. Uplifting Culture Bearers and Educators The Crown Legacy Program empowers underrepresented communities and organizations by funding, training, and supporting artists, writers, and culture bearers.
We prioritize underrepresented groups, including LGBTIQQ, Latino, LatinX, and Hispanic communities, to ensure cultural knowledge is shared within our communities. Our initiatives cover various media, such as AR, VR, and print, aiming to amplify these voices and enrich our cultural landscape. The Crown Legacy Program operates under the fiscal agency of the Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans (MaCCNO).
MaCCNO is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving and nurturing the unique cultural and musical heritage of New Orleans. Their support enables us to effectively manage funds, ensuring that donations and grants are used efficiently to empower underrepresented voices and sustain our mission. Certification Information At the Crown Legacy Program, certification is a key component of many of our self-paced trainings and books.
These certifications not only validate your expertise but also serve as formal recognition of your skills in cultural competency and other areas critical to our mission. Our certifications are designed to empower individuals and organizations by providing them with the tools and credentials needed to create meaningful change in their communities. Crown Legacy Program Giving Circle AKA The Crown Guild: Empowering Passion Projects and Legacy Building The Crown Guild is our exclusive giving circle, inviting a select group of dedicated individuals to join us in making a lasting impact. We seek people who are eager to contribute their time, expertise, experience, and donations to create passion projects that will be taught or shared within our communities.
As part of The Crown Guild, members will also have the opportunity to train individuals and organizations, helping to establish a legacy and drive meaningful change. Most works created and published with The Crown Guild reach an international audience, showcasing the incredible talents and stories from our communities. Crown Legacy, Visibility, and Cultural Catalyst Fund The fund supports and promote LGBTIQQ, Latino, LatinX, and Hispanic mixed media artists (AR, VR, and more!) , creators, writers, lifestyle presenters, and culture bearers to create and educate others.
Those underrepresented in the community media and culture will be the focus of the funds as we seek to encourage their voice and the development of passion projects.
