Your project will support the UK’s transition to zero emission vehicles and a pathway to a net zero automotive industry. This competition is open to collaborations only. To lead a collaborative project your organisation must be a UK registered business.
The consortium must contain at least one UK registered micro, small or medium sized enterprise claiming grant funding on this application. Innovate UK's BridgeAI Innovation Exchange programme funds AI and machine learning proof of concepts that address real business challenges across designated sectors. Individual project grants range from £25,000 to £50,000 (approximately USD $31,750-$63,500) from a total competition pool of up to £200,000. Projects must last 3-5 months, starting by September 2025 and completing by February 2026. The programme targets four specific challenge areas: cycling industry market intelligence, site reinstatement automation, sustainable transport engagement, and planning system automation. Projects must include measurable success metrics, comply with data governance standards, and provide knowledge transfer documentation. Subject to Minimal Financial Assistance cap of £315,000 over a three-year rolling period.
Innovate UK's Sovereign AI Proof of Concept programme funds proof of concept demonstrators of AI technologies with state-of-the-art performance across five strategic themes: fundamental AI research, materials discovery, biosciences and health, defense and national security, and AI-aided chip/hardware design.
