Education and Training Voucher (ETV) ETV stands for Education and Training Voucher. The ETV program offers grants to current and former foster youth. The federal government funds the ETV grants, which the state handles.
The larger program is the John H. Chafee Foster Care Program for Successful Transition to Adulthood. It is also known as the Chafee Program.
In most states, eligible students may receive grants of up to $5,000 per academic year. CT’s ETV program offers grants to help current and former foster youth pay for college or job training after high school. Foster, adopted, subsidized adoption, and/or kinship youths after age 16 are eligible.
Undocumented or non-US citizens are not eligible to receive ETV. Eligible students may receive up to $5,000 per academic year. The amount is based on the cost of attendance and available funds.
ETV can help with education-related expenses. This can include tuition, attendance fees, equipment, supplies, transportation, and more. The social worker makes applications available several times a year.

The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students.
