SBIR/STTR Matching Programs (Various States) is sponsored by Various State Entities (e.g., Massachusetts MassVentures, Kentucky SBIR/STTR Matching Funds, Florida High Tech Corridor, Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity). Several U.S. states offer matching programs for federal SBIR and STTR awards, extending the amount of grant funding available for small businesses in early-stage R&D, including medical devices. These are state-administered programs designed to supplement federal funding.

SBIR-STTR Matching Funds Program (Kentucky) is sponsored by KY Innovation, Cabinet for Economic Development. This program matches, on a competitive basis, Phase 1 and Phase 2 federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards received by Kentucky high-tech small businesses and those willing to become Kentucky-based businesses.
