The following is an overview of each grant with their application deadlines: The purpose of the RAP Tax Cultural Grant is to enhance financial support of the County's cultural organizations. Projects funded by this grant include history, natural history, art, music, theater, dance, and cultural arts including literature, a motion picture, and storytelling.
Qualifying applicants include 501(c)3 nonprofits and municipal arts/cultural councils officially designated by Summit County. Application opens Monday, March 2 and closes Monday, March 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
The purpose of the Restaurant Tax Grant is to fund in whole or in part, tourism promotion and the development, operation, and maintenance of publicly owned or operated tourist, recreation, cultural, historical, and convention facilities. Qualifying applicants include non-profits, government entities, and government subdivisions. Application opens Monday, March 2 and closes Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
Emergency Services Sales Tax Grant The purpose of the Emergency Services Sales Tax Grant is to fund Capital Improvements and the acquisition of Personal Property for emergency medical services, solid waste disposal, search and rescue activities, law enforcement activities, and fire protection services to offset the impacts of tourism in Summit County. Applicants include qualifying Summit County departments and special service districts.
Application opens Monday, April 6 and closes Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM. The purpose of the Non-Profit Grant is to support Summit County non-profits who fulfill core government functions, fulfill policies within the Snyderville Basin and Eastern Summit County General Plans, and fulfill County Council goals. Qualifying applicants include 501(c)3 non-profits who are based in or provide services in Summit County.
Application opens Wednesday, July 1 and closes Friday, July 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM. RAP Tax – Recreation Grant The purpose of the RAP Tax Recreation Grant is to support public recreation opportunities within Summit County. This includes a publicly owned or operated park, campground, marina, dock, golf course, playground, athletic field, gymnasium, swimming pool, trail system, or other facility used for recreational purposes.
