Emergency Rental Assistance Fund (Minneapolis) is sponsored by City of Minneapolis. Emergency funds to assist Twin Cities residents struggling to pay rent. To qualify, applicants need to live within city limits and make less than 30 percent of the area median income.

Emergency Rental Assistance - City of Minneapolis Emergency rental assistance Minneapolis residents at risk of eviction can get help paying rent and utilities. We are committed to supporting renters and helping people stay in their home. After Operation Metro Surge, the City is helping residents at risk of eviction.

You can receive assistance if all of the following are true: Check that your rental unit is in Minneapolis. Visit the property information search page and enter your address. Search for property information Your household income is at or below 30% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

The program counts income from every adult in your home. Check if your income qualifies You received a 30-day pre-eviction filing notice from your landlord. This notice explains what you owe, when you must pay it, and who you can contact to make the payment.

If your landlord filed for eviction without giving you a 30-day pre-eviction filing notice , contact one of the following for legal advice: If you already have an eviction court summons, start an application through one of the following: Tenant Resource Connections, call 612‑767‑9737 Contact one of these organizations. They will check if you qualify and help you start your application.

The City of Minneapolis cannot access the application system or help with applications.
