Local churches raise or allocate funds for their pastor's base grant, and the COMPASS Initiative matches those contributions up to $5,000 for COMPASS Journey participants or up to $1,000 for COMPASS Quest participants. Funds may only be used to pay down the pastor's personal or student debt or contribute to their Nazarene Fidelity 403(b) retirement account.
