Looking to take your students beyond the classroom? Field Trip Grants provide funding for educational field trips that support student learning and engagement. Whether it’s a visit to a historical site, a STEM-focused museum, or a nature preserve, these trips inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and create lasting memories.
There is one application cycle for Field Trip Grants which provide up to $2,500 in funding. Applications open August 24, 2026, and close September 11, 2026. How we’d like to see Field Trip Grants used The Field Trip Grant program will award teachers and schools across the state up to $2,500 for educational field trips to support student learning and engagement.
How are applications evaluated? Educational Purpose : The field trip must align with state curriculum standards and have a clear educational objective. Learning Outcomes : The trip should provide students with opportunities to expand their knowledge, skills, and cultural awareness.
Opening Doors: Indicate how the grant will open doors to students who might not have been able to participate. Student Reach : The number of students impacted by the grant will be considered. Variety of Topics : Trips that cover a range of subjects, such as history, science, art, or environmental studies, are encouraged.
Sustainability : Preference for trips with the potential for long-term educational benefits or partnerships. Examples include trips to museums, historical sites, STEM centers, nature preserves, or cultural landmarks Who should apply for a Field Trip Grant? Teachers in grades K through 12 Priority will be given to teachers in Title I public schools, or schools with 50% or more of its full-time students receiving free or reduced meals.
Awards are paid to the applying school and not to individuals or the site of the field trip Recipient organizations must have tax-exempt status under the IRS Code and must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, nationality, or ethnic origin. The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students. The grant supports the purchase of robotics equipment and program development aligned with AMSTI guidelines. Applications are submitted online through the AMSTI Robotics Grant portal.
