Finish Line Grants | NC Commerce On July 12, 2018, Governor Roy Cooper announced the Finish Line Grants program to help community college students complete their training when facing unforeseen challenges – such as unexpected healthcare costs, childcare expenses, or car breakdowns. In 2022, administration of the program transitioned from the Department of Commerce to the North Carolina Community College System.
Visit the System website for more information. Students interested in applying for a Finish Line Grant should contact their college's Financial Aid Office. Anyone interested in other workforce training scholarships should continue to contact their local NCWorks Career Center.

The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students. The grant supports the purchase of robotics equipment and program development aligned with AMSTI guidelines. Applications are submitted online through the AMSTI Robotics Grant portal.
