American Society for Microbiology (ASM) American Society for Microbiology (ASM) (Members Only) American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) Cystic Fibrosis Foundation : The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s (CFF) primary research goals are to develop a cure and optimize care for people with CF.

To this end, the CFF supports physician scientists across subspecialties throughout their career, from training through early faculty appointments and beyond. The CFF recently initiated a targeted Infection Research Initiative in an effort to address the chronic and intractable infections that are a hallmark of cystic fibrosis.

In conjunction with this effort, the CFF Physician Training Programs are partnering with PIDS in order to reach a broader audience of ID fellows and encourage submissions from pediatric infectious disease fellows to the CFF Fellowship Award Programs .

American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH): Founded in 1903, ASTMH is a worldwide organization of scientists, clinicians, and program professionals whose mission is to promote global health through the prevention and control of infectious and other diseases that disproportionately afflict the global poor.
