Fund for a Resilient Nevada Fund for a Resilient Nevada The use, misuse, and abuse of opioids is one of the deadliest drug epidemics in American history. Opioid addiction touches every corner of the United States and has affected Nevada more severely than other states.
Legal actions, spearheaded by the Nevada Attorney General, concerning the manufacture, distribution, sale or marketing of opioids are helping Nevada and other states deal with the devastating effects of this epidemic on individuals, their families and communities. Nevada's share of monies recovered from these actions are deposited into the Fund for a Resilient Nevada (FRN) to then be used to mitigate the harms, risks, and impacts of the opioid epidemic. A portion of the funding is administered by DHS, which is responsible the development of the Nevada Opioids Needs Assessment and Statewide Plan.

31, DHS submits a report concerning all findings, recommendations and money expended from FRN. This report goes to the Governor, Director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau, the Commission on Behavioral Health, Nevada's regional behavioral health policy boards, the Office of the Attorney General, and any other committees or commissions as designated by the DHS director.
