Originating in an endowed fund from lifelong laboratory educators and ASCP members Kathleen Becan-McBride, EdD, MASCP, MLS(ASCP) CM and Diana “Didi” Garza, EdD, MLS(ASCP) CM , this scholarship was established in 2019 through the ASCP Foundation. Each year, one $2,000 scholarship is awarded. Scholarship aid may be used toward certification fees, direct academic tuition, or needs-based expenses to support the student's academic career.

Join today, free for students! Have successfully completed at least 50% of their phlebotomy training by September 1st, 2026 through one of the following program types: A NAACLS approved phlebotomy training program. A phlebotomy program approved by the California Department of Public Health.
