Girls' Education and Empowerment — The Stone Family Foundation Girls’ Education and empowerment The Girls' Education Program empowers underserved adolescent girls in low-income countries to achieve their full academic and personal potential. We support individual growth that builds agency and self-determination, equipping young women to lead meaningful lives and contribute powerfully to their communities.
The program champions academic achievement as a foundation for personal and intellectual growth, recognizing the vital link between academic success and socio-emotional development. We envision a future where every individual is equipped and empowered to build a life that matters to them. We welcome pilots and/or testing of new approaches that have a clear rationale.
We prioritize programs that: Focus on adolescent girls and youth (ages 12 to 20). Offer repeated engagement and/or interaction with targeted youth. Outline clear links between the program approach and academic or personal development.
Demonstrate long-term commitment to and engagement with the communities in which the program operates. The Foundation accepts 1-2 page letters of interest (LOI) at any time. Organizations submitting the LOI must be a publicly supported tax exempt organization recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under I.
R. C. Section 501(c)(3).
LOIs should contain brief information about your organization, an overview of the activities or program for which you are seeking funding, and any relevant data or impact summaries of your work or approach. Organizational information such as your Employer Identification Number (EIN) and date of recognition by the IRS as a tax exempt organization must be included. The deadline for LOI submission is June 30, 2026.
Any letters received after June 30, 2026 will be considered for the 2027 grant cycle. LOIs should be sent to adrienne@thestonefamilyfoundation. org.
The Foundation has two types of grants: Community Grant of $25,000 to $30,000 with a duration of 12-18 months. Development Grant of up to $250,000 for 12-24 months. Additional considerations : The Foundation will consider how the organization’s approach: works within or alongside schools; articulates a rationale for identifying and working with its target groups (Why them?
Why this approach?) ; and assesses “success” (What constitutes success? Why is that the definition?)
The Foundation prioritizes work in low-income countries in Asia, East Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students.
