[](https://dema. az. gov/emergency-management-landing-page/infrastructure-and-grant-administration/grant-administration) The Grant Administration Branch oversees the administration of several state and federal grants the Emergency Management Division receives to enhance emergency management capabilities throughout the state.
The grants cover a wide range of activities, including training, exercises, planning, mitigation projects, infrastructure repairs, and emergency response and recovery efforts. As part of the administration of these grants, Grants Administration Branch offers information, technical assistance, and guidance on the grant processes, as well as develop a policy for State-specific application, reporting, and reimbursement policies.
The Grant Administration Branch works extensively with the programmatic areas throughout the Emergency Management Division to ensure programs are delivered and reimbursed efficiently and effectively.
Arizona Revised Statutes Title 26 - Department of Emergency & Military Affairs * ARS 26-105 Border security fund; exemption; reimbursement * ARS 26-106 Anti-human trafficking grant fund House Bill 2893 established Section 105 in ARS Title 26 - Border Security Fund; exemption; reimbursement. The Border Security Fund is established and consists of legislative appropriations, gifts, grants and other donations.
The Department of Emergency and Military Affairs shall administer the fund. Senate Bill 1823S Section 106 appropriated the sum of $55,000,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the department of emergency and military affairs for deposit into the border security fund established by ARS 26-105.
###### **Border Security Fund Appropriation** Arizona Laws 2022, Chapter 313 (HB2862) appropriated $209,205,000 to the Border Security Fund established by A. R. S.
§ 26-105. The funds will be distributed by the state treasurer beginning on October 1, 2022, per Laws 2022, Chapter 3212 (HB2871).
###### **Border Barrier & Security Technology Appropriation** Arizona Laws 2022, Chapter 334 (HB2317) allocated $335,000,000 to the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs for the construction, administration, and maintenance of a physical border fence and for the purchase and installation of border security technologies, including cameras, sensors, drones, software and other equipment.
###### **National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP)** The NEHRP leads the federal government’s efforts to reduce the fatalities, injuries and property losses caused by earthquakes. NEHRP partners with state and local governments, universities, research centers, professional societies and trade associations and business. University of Arizona-AZ Geological Survey is a sub-recipient for this fund.

###### **Emergency Operations Center Grant Program (EOCGP)** The EOCGP is intended to improve emergency management and preparedness capabilities by supporting flexible, sustainable, secure, strategically located, and fully interoperable EOCs with a focus on addressing identified deficiencies and needs.

California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CSNSGP) is a grant from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services that funds target hardening and security enhancements for nonprofit organizations at high risk for violent attacks and hate crimes due to their ideology, beliefs, or mission. Awards of up to $200,000 per organization are available, with $76 million allocated in the latest funding round. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations operating in California. Funded activities include physical security improvements and vulnerability assessments to protect against threats.
