Grant Opportunities – Rural Health Telehealth Equipment Expansion The Tennessee Rural Health Care Center of Excellence is pleased to announce the availability of funding for telehealth equipment for eligible rural facilities and clinics in the State of Tennessee.
This initiative seeks to expand access to high-quality healthcare services by strengthening telehealth infrastructure across rural, underserved, and medically vulnerable communities. By equipping organizations with essential telehealth technology, this initiative aims to reduce geographic, transportation, and provider access barriers while supporting innovative models of care delivery.
Recognizing that telehealth needs vary across organizations, this initiative allows applicants to propose equipment that best aligns with their specific service delivery model and patient population.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit applications from qualified rural serving-Tennessee-based organizations seeking telehealth equipment to enhance or expand remote healthcare service delivery Increase access to primary care, behavioral health, and specialty services Reduce disparities in rural and underserved communities Strengthen healthcare system capacity across Tennessee Support sustainable telehealth service models Improve patient engagement and continuity of care Up to $25,000 per award.
Equipment will be purchased and shipped to the awarded organizations. Duration: 12 months to implement and provide outcome data Stipulations: No indirect costs are allowed A minimum of four (4) Telehealth Equipment Packages will be awarded through a competitive review process.
Applicants may propose equipment packages tailored to their organization, which may include (but are not limited to): Telehealth carts or workstations High-definition video conferencing systems Otoscopes and exam cameras Remote patient monitoring devices Peripheral diagnostic tools HIPAA-compliant telehealth software (if applicable) Applicants must include a detailed narrative describing how the proposed equipment meets the identified needs of the targeted rural population and supports the services outlined in the proposal.
