Hanger Foundation Opens 2026 Grant Application Process - Hanger Hanger Foundation Opens 2026 Grant Application Process AUSTIN, Texas – April 22, 2026 – The Hanger Foundation today announced that applications for its 2026 Empowerment and Veteran Grants are officially open.
These annual programs provide funding to nonprofit organizations across the U.S. that are dedicated to empowering individuals limb loss or limb difference and other physical challenges. Since its first grant award in May 2015, the Foundation has donated over $5 million to 205 non-profit organizations to help expand access to care, and uplift individuals facing mobility challenges.
Through these grants, the Hanger Foundation continues its mission of creating opportunities that help people live life as fully as possible. “There are so many important nonprofits out there doing incredible, life-changing work — and we want to help fuel their success,” said Rachel Kubicki, Executive Director of the Hanger Foundation.
“As we open up this grant cycle, we are excited to see all of the incredible applications that come in — because every grant we provide represents additional people having the support they need to gain the mobility, independence, and dignity they deserve. ” Veteran Grants aim to help fund organizations supporting military veterans with limb loss, limb difference, or other mobility challenges.
All grants are currently one-year grants only, with funding available to use for expenses and activities that align with the Foundation’s giving guidelines.
