AmeriCorps has recently created a new Summer of Service , a short-term, environment-focused experience within our NCCC program.

ET Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowship Program Application ED’s Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Fellowship Program provides opportunities for doctoral candidates to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies.

The program is designed to deepen research knowledge and increase the study of modern foreign languages, cultural engagement, and area studies not generally included in U.S. curricula. Students may request funding to support overseas research for a period of no less than six months and no more than 12 months.

Funds support travel expenses to and from the residence of the fellow and the country or countries of research; maintenance and dependent allowances based on the location of research for the fellow and his or her dependent(s); an allowance for research-related expenses overseas; and health and accident insurance premiums.

Projects may focus on one or more of the following geographic areas: Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere (excluding the United States and its territories). Eligible Applicants: Institutions of higher education (IHEs) in the United States are eligible to apply for grants under this program.

Racial and ethnic disparities in the justice system have been well documented in the research literature. Black people, Hispanic and Latino populations, and Native Americans are disproportionately represented in arrest, prosecution, conviction, and incarceration rates. Communities of color often experience high levels of crime and victimization, and inequities in public safety and access of justice.

These disparities may be manifested at any point in the justice system including in policing practices (to include identification of and interactions with victims of crime), equal access to justice and services, availability of defense resources, pre-trial release practices, charging and disposition decisions, sanctions imposed, access to treatment services and victim assistance, and post-release programming.

gov National Endowment for the Arts As we mark the one year anniversary of the American Rescue Plan bill signing, we want to express our gratitude for the role you played in helping us provide pandemic relief to arts and cultural organizations across the country. We also want to provide you with the NEA’s ARP fact sheet , which we encourage you to share with your networks.

While the NEA’s Recue Plan program represents a historic investment in the arts and culture sector, we recognize that the extraordinary financial needs of organizations and communities far outweigh the available funds awarded through the program. We encourage any applicants who weren’t recommended for ARP or other current grants to pursue future grant opportunities with the NEA and regional, state, and local arts agencies.

Federal Student Aid Webinar Series Announced ED’s Federal Student Aid (FSA) office announced its Wednesday Webinar Series — live, two-hour webinars that will cover a variety of topics related to federal student aid programs. FSA staff will present the first seven webinars in this occasional series from February to May 2022. Additional webinars will be added in the future.

You do not need to register for the webinars. Participation will be available on a first come, first served basis, with up to 10,000 attendees permitted for each session.

Department of Commerce NTIA will host a pre-Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) technical assistance (TA) webinar series in March–May 2022 in connection with the five new broadband grant programs authorized and funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA): The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program; the Enabling Middle Mile Broadband Infrastructure Program; and the Digital Equity Act Programs, which include the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program, State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program, and Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program.

These pre-NOFO technical assistance webinars are designed to help prospective applicants understand NTIA’s IIJA broadband grant programs and to assist applicants to prepare high quality grant applications.
