Housing Navigation Program | Georgia Department of Community Affairs The Housing Navigation Program partners with nonprofits, governments, and housing authorities statewide to fund dedicated navigators who help Georgians experiencing or at risk of homelessness secure and maintain stable housing through hands on case management, landlord coordination, and targeted financial support.
The Housing Navigation Program is a collaborative initiative between DCA and local nonprofits, government entities, and public housing authorities statewide to deliver on-the-ground services by supporting agencies to hire dedicated Housing Navigators. Housing Navigators help connect Georgians in need with stable housing and provide supportive services when necessary.
Their services may include case management, transportation to housing appointments, assistance communicating with landlords, help completing rental applications, and expediting the leasing process. The program may also cover eligible costs such as security deposits, landlord incentives, and application fees.
The Housing Navigation Program derives its funding from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and must primarily benefit qualifying individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in other vulnerable populations.
