Craig was a chief pilot at Alaska Airlines and was well known not just for his skill, but also for his leadership, mentorship, and diplomacy. Craig was devoted to helping others and would have wanted to leave behind a legacy of empowering the aviation leaders of tomorrow.
In his memory, his family created the Huffman Foundation to provide scholarships and support to students who are passionate about pursuing higher education and careers in the aviation industry. The Foundation's signature event is the Huffman Golf Classic, held every summer to support the work of the Foundation.

Throughout its work, IMLS places importance on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
