annual application to receive funding for federal fiscal year 2026 (FFY) under the _Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004_ (IDEA, 2004) must be submitted on or before May 20, 2026, in order for Virginia to be eligible to receive funds.
FFY 2026 funds will be made available to eligible states on July 1,2026. The U.S. Department of Education requires that the application be published at least 60 days prior to the date on which the plan is submitted, with an opportunity for public comments for at least 30 days.
