Request a Grant | Central IN Police Foundation Police Department & Police Officer Grant Request. We offer grants to individual officers as well as departments. PLEASE read all guidelines prior to applying.
The board will consider proposals up to $10,000, with most grants falling between $1,000 and $5,000.
Requests that fall into one of our three pillars (Code One, Behind the Line, InVest In Blue) and are $1,000 or less can be approved by the Executive Director, without board approval, up to a cumulative annual limit of $5,000 Requests over $1,000 will be reviewed by the Grants Committee and recommended to the Board The Board will vote on that recommendation during the regularly scheduled board meeting, unless this is an urgent request.
All requests must be from departments/officers who work in Marion County, Indiana or one of the contiguous counties. The request should fall under one of our main areas we serve CODE ONE: Support for officers during extraordinary life events of the officer and their immediate family, living within their household.
BEHIND THE LINE: Grants will be considered for supporting activities that promote positive community-law enforcement relationships. For National Night Outs, we do offer a $300 grant once annually for each department in our territory. INVEST IN BLUE: Equipment that is not paid for by the department budget and that assists the officer/department to aid others or do their job more efficiently.
We will not grant funds for body armor, guns, or anything that should be in the city budget that every officer needs at minimum to do their job. Department grants should have a broad impact to the department and community. Non-essential grant requests may be deferred to end of budget term and reconsidered.
