The John W. Alden Trust Grant is a grant from the John W. Alden Trust that funds capital projects at independent colleges, universities, and secondary schools in New England and nearby states, as well as YMCAs and educationally-related organizations in the Worcester, Massachusetts area. For colleges and universities, the program supports capital improvements that directly impact the quality of undergraduate academic offerings, including construction or renovation of classrooms, libraries, laboratories, auditoriums, and academic buildings, as well as equipment and furnishings for academic settings. Eligible applicants include independent colleges and universities in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey with specific enrollment criteria; vocational and independent secondary schools in the Worcester area; and YMCAs in Massachusetts. Awards typically range from $7,500 to $50,000, with first-time college applicants eligible for up to $100,000. Applications are due quarterly, with the May 11, 2026 cycle currently open.

Beit Trust Project Grants is sponsored by The Beit Trust. The Beit Trust offers project grants to established institutions in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi for initiatives in infrastructure, health, education, welfare, and conservation. The grants are designed to enhance existing operational capacity. The Trust has a strong preference for funding buildings and infrastructure related to education.
