Quintero, Secretary IDHS Grants Administration Family & Community Services Grants - FY 2024 Community and Positive Youth Development Grants Juvenile Justice Youth Serving Programs (24-444-80-1270-02) Juvenile Justice Youth Serving Programs (JJYSP) FY24 Continuation Application CSFA #444-80-1270-02 Refer to the Continuation Application for Due Date To support local juvenile justice councils established according to the Illinois Juvenile Court Act (705 ILCS 405/6-12).
Grants are specifically awarded to local juvenile justice councils to improve the effectiveness of local juvenile justice systems, reduce unnecessary juvenile justice system involvement and/or analyze and reduce Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC) in each council's local system.
Grants are also specifically awarded to existing juvenile justice councils, units of local government or local non-for-profit agencies who wish to develop, implement, expand and/or maintain youth serving programs to accomplish one or more of the following: to appropriately divert youth from further involvement in the JJ system (Diversion); to provide alternatives to the detention of youth (Alt to Detention); to provide programmatic solutions to reduce Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC); to provide programmatic services for Youth with Problematic Sexual Behaviors.
FY24 Continuation Application Current Providers will receive a continuation application packet via email. Providers may request additional copies of the continuation application by sending an email to DHS. YouthServicesInfo@illinois.
gov This continuation application is for Fiscal Year 2024 funding for Juvenile Justice Youth Serving Programs (JJYSP) (CSFA #444-80-1270-02) Eligibility is limited to current Juvenile Justice Youth Serving Program providers funded under CSFA# 23-444-80-1270-02. Each applicant must be registered in the Illinois GATA Grantee Portal and must continue to be GATA Pre-Qualified.
Applicant organizations must complete the FY24 ICQ before an award can be made. (Accessed through the Grantee Portal.) If the FY24 ICQ is not available in the Grantee Portal prior to the application due date, grantees should submit their application without the ICQ and will be notified when it becomes available.
